Mary Delahunty

Mary Delahunty is a gold Walkley Award-winning journalist from ABC Four Corners, a presenter/interviewer for ABC News and 7.30 Report and an accomplished radio broadcaster.

She was Education, Planning, Women and the Arts Minister in the Victorian Government. 1999-2006 and is now non-executive director of Health and Arts boards and the co-founder of a cultural start-up Her Place, Womens Museum Australia.

Mary has published two non-fiction books, Public Life: Private Grief (2010) and Gravity: Inside the PM’s office during her last year and final days (2014), Hardie Grant. She has extensive experience in journalism, longform essay writing and creative nonfiction and has been published in Meanjin, The Saturday Paper, the Griffith Review, Hoopla, Crikey, The Age and the Canberra Times. She is a regular participator and facilitator on panels at Writer’s Festivals and events around Australia.
