Illustrator Ashleigh Pugh is a young Noongar artist living on Boon Wurrung Country on the Mornington Peninsula. Her works have been exhibited at Peninsula Regional Gallery and Frankston Art Centre. Ash has developed her own distinctive style, blending traditional wood burning technique with painting. In 2020 she won Best Landscape, for the Linden Art Gallery Postcard Prize.
Her first book, Weaving Country, is a collaboration with Aunty Kim Wandin and Chris Joy. It will be published by Walker Books Australia in 2024.
